We live in the Sunshine State. That should really be enough discussion on the issue, but unfortunately, the people that currently control energy policy in the state would rather you believe that solar is “not yet viable” or “cost effective”. This is, in my opinion, propaganda to prevent you the consumer from becoming independent of the monthly electric bill they collect. If Germany, situated to receive only 30% of the solar energy we get in Florida can re-tool their entire energy infrastructure in about 20 years to be almost all solar, I think we could take advantage of what we are currently not utilizing. I am confident that solar can be viable in today’s market and will become more efficient and cost effective as general use increases. I will be supporting the initiative to open up the solar market in Florida. Please visit http://www.flsolarchoice.org/ to learn more and sign the petition.
